The Head of Marketing role presents an exciting and exclusive opportunity to be a part of the pioneering rockstars bringing to life a fresh and interactive marketplace across Asia.
As the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong and engaged community for our company, and more globally, championing the interests of our community to the business and the other way around.
We are searching for a highly-motivated, results-driven individual to oversee our social media strategy, and manage our community through online & offline channels. The ideal candidate should possess some solid strategy-creation skills, a strong experience in terms of social media execution and partnerships set up. The applicant should also be able to build and manage a team of content producers, and social media specialists.
Go-To-Market Strategy: Develop and execute the overall Go-To-Market strategy, including product positioning, market segmentation, and competitive analysis. Ensure alignment of all initiatives with the company's business objectives
Content Strategy: Lead the creation and execution of a dynamic content strategy across various platforms such as our website, blog, and social media. Ensure content is high-quality, engaging, relevant, and timely to effectively communicate the brand's message and values
Partnerships: Identify, establish, and maintain beneficial offline and online partnerships to enhance user acquisition, retention, and brand awareness. This includes building relationships with key players such as vendors, advertising agencies, and creative artists
Brand Consistency: Uphold the consistency of our overall brand communication across all channels. This includes the tone, voice, visuals, and messaging, ensuring it resonates with our target audience and aligns with our company's vision and mission
Social Media Management: Oversee daily operations of the company's social media, including post creation and scheduling, audience engagement, and analytics monitoring
Financial Management: Develop and manage financial plans, including expenditures, R&D allocations, ROI, and profit-loss projections
Market Insights & Expansion: Gather market insights to inform outreach strategies, boost customer conversions, and generate high-quality leads. Identify opportunities to reach new markets and expand market share
Stakeholder Communication: Present strategic plans and deliverables to internal and external stakeholders, engaging in executive-level discussions about marketing programs and budgets
Industry Trends: Stay informed on and adapt to industry trends, emerging media, consumer insights, and best practices to drive continual improvement
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in marketing, business, communications, journalism or a related field
Minimum of 8+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in developing effective Go-To-Market and content strategies, as well as managing partnerships
Demonstrated expertise in maintaining a consistent brand voice and image across multiple channels and platforms
Proven track record of strong understanding of social media platforms and their role in community building
Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or related industry is a plus.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve goals (Experience in building and scaling teams is a plus)
Demonstrated negotiation skills, with the ability to build partnerships
Proven experience in supervising content creation and content curation
Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
Strong understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
Strong presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives
